available?
The Adventure Park is open from April to September. The maze is
only available July to September.
How much does a party cost per head?
The cost of the party is £12.95 per head
*New*Is there a minimum or maximum number?
There is no maximum however there is a minimum of10 children on
weekdays, 14 children at weekends
What does the price include?
The price includes entrance into aMaizin Adventure Park
(maze from 1st of July), food and party bags. When your party
has been booked we send out our party postcards.
What party times are available?
The following times are a general guide only as there may be
changes to the schedule based on previous bookings.
Weekends and holidays - 10am - 12 Noon, 12.30pm - 2.30pm and 3pm -
5pm
After school weekdays - 3.45pm - 5.45pm (later times for
larger parties, please check when booking)
Where is the party held?
The party is held in a marquee.
*New* What does the food consist of?
Party boxes contain - Sandwiches, cold drink, and a snack. Small
ice-creams afterwards.
Special requirements: Please inform us and we will do all we can
to help. If a child has allergies we cannot guarantee that our
products are nut free as most suppliers now add a disclaimer.
If you decide to bring a birthday cake please hand this to staff
on arrival. Birthday cake can be placed in party bags during the
food. You can obtain a knife from the staff to cut the cake but
please ensure it is kept away from children and returned as soon as
you or your helpers have finished with it.
Do I need to bring anything to go into the party bags?
Our party bags are always well received. Sweets are kept to a
minimum, if you would prefer not to have any sweets please advise
the office when booking. We will assume when booking that the ages
of the attending children are the same as your child. If the ages
vary please advise the office 48 hours before the start of the
party to allow us time to amend the party bags.
*New*Why is there no longer a tractor ride?
We have increasingly found that having tractor rides at the
beginning or end of the party was affecting the time the children
spent in the Park. Children arriving late, parents in a hurry and
some children not wishing to take part was causing an issue. If the
birthday child wishes to have a tractor ride you are welcome to
arrive a little earlier or the birthday child and his/ her parents
can re-enter the Park to take part in this activity at your
leisure.
Does our party get to feed the animals?
You are more than welcome to visit aMaizin barnyard to see the
animals however the feeding times are at certain times to ensure
the welfare of the animals.
You have timed activities, how can I ensure my child can access
a favourite activity?
Tractor rides and animals are referred to above. The "Big Drop"
is also timed. Please discuss with your party co-ordinator when
booking who will advise you which party slots match your
requirements. Don't forget that the birthday child and his/her
parents are not charged for re-entry into the park so you can
ensure your child has use of favourite activities after the party
if this suits your requirements.
What do I need to bring?
You only need to bring the cake, candles and matches/lighter. It
is an idea to bring a change of clothes for the Water Warriors and
a few pens if you would like to do the maze (if party is booked
after the 1st of July)
How long does the party last?
All party slots are set for two hours long.
Can we have a longer party?
The party length is set at 2 hours as we find this is ideal for
children as they are expending considerable energy.
Why can't parents come into aMaizin! Adventure Park to collect
their children?
We have a designated drop off and pick up point outside the
barnyard, This ensures that the party parent collects and drops
back the children to a designated guardian. aMaizin! Adventure Park
takes the safety of children very seriously and collecting parents
are not always known to the birthday child's parents. The
collection and drop off at the party point helps to ensure that no
child can leave the Park with someone other than their parent or
guardian.
We also have an issue that we are only insured for paying
visitors. Collecting parents are not insured to be in the Park and
it is important that we follow procedures laid down by our
insurers.
Do you supervise the parties?
We co-ordinate the food and party bags, and are always around if
you need anything or have any questions but due to the nature
of the attraction we cannot supervise the parties and
responsibility remains with the party parents at all times. We
suggest a 1:5 ratio of adults to children. Any member of
staff can contact the party co-ordinator for you by radio.
Can we bring more adults than suggested?
We do try and be flexible with adult helpers however from
experience we know that more helpers can sometimes mean less
support. Younger children aged 3 and 4 may like to have a
parent stay with them, we are happy to allow one parent to stay
with each party child.
Extra adults and children will need to pay the normal entrance
price at the front desk before entering the park.
Can my helper bring in children that are not part of the
party?
Any extra adults and children will need to pay the normal
entrance price at the front desk before entering the park. If
additional children are not part of the party they will need to go
to the Main entrance area and will be charged the regular rate.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We will decide if the Park is safe and advise you based on
experience but we leave the final decision with you. Some
activities may not be able to operate in wet weather. The party
co-ordinator will explain any restrictions and liaise with you. If
it is raining a lot and you would rather reschedule the party we
are happy to do so subject to availability.
If it is showery are there undercover areas?
There are a number of undercover areas if showers are forecast.
These include the barnyard, Dusty Mountain Gold Mine, Mole Hill,
the Dino Dig and the party marquee where the children eat.
Some of the children attending the party are seasonal members
do I get a reduction?
The parties are subsidised as there is a high return rate from
children attending the parties which we factor into the initial
cost so there is no reduction.
Can we have a weekday party?
We find weekday parties are often preferred by parents as the
park is quieter than at weekends and supervision is easier. The
minimum number of children during weekdays is 10, you will need a
minimum of 14 children at weekends.
Where can I obtain some more invitations?
For your convenience we have a download version available for
you to print. If you prefer a hard copy these can be collected from
the front desk 7 days a week from 10am until 6pm. Please return any
unused postcards at the time of your party.
Is there anything else I need to know?
Ensure that your guests bring clothing suitable for wet play.
Your party will run more smoothly if the wet play areas are used at
the start of your party. This allows plenty of time to change
clothing! Bags are then easily retrieved when departing the Park.
We also have a small portaloo at the exit if required.
How can I book?
Telephone 482116 to book a party. If the line is busy please
leave a message and we will get back to you. By email contact@jerseyleisure.com
