Amaizin! Adventure Park - Parties

Amaizin! Adventure Park - Parties

Party information

When is an Adventure Park party available?

The Adventure Park is open from April to September.

Please note that if you are interested in taking your party into the maze, the maze opens July to September.

How much does a party cost per head?

The cost of the party is £12.00 per head

Is there a minimum or maximum number?

There is no maximum number however there is a minimum of 10 children.

What does the price include?

The price includes entrance into aMaizin Adventure Park, and barnyard (the maze is included after the 1st of July). Food, party bags, and a guaranteed tractor ride for your party (subject to track conditions). When your party has been booked we send out our party postcards. We have recently added a “helpful hints” section on the invite for guests and their parents to help the party run smoothly.

Where is the party held?

The party is held in a dedicated marquee which is situated in front of the Water Warriors area. It is close to the toilets and changing hut for convenience.

What does the food consist of?

You have a choice of hot or cold food.

Hot food includes a hot dog or burger with chips, unlimited squash and an ice cream.

Cold food consists of platters of sandwiches with a variety of fillings, crisps and garnishes, unlimited squash and ice cream.

Cake is put in the party bags as we find the children want to go back into the park. If a child has special dietary requirements please inform us and we will do all we can to help. Unfortunately if a child has allergies we cannot guarantee that our products are nut free as most suppliers now add a disclaimer.

Please inform us at the time of booking which food choice you would like. This can only be amended up to 48 hours before the party.

You do not need to supplement the food, however if you wish to bring any food additions please hand to the staff on arrival (with your birthday cake if applicable) and this will be brought to you when the party food is served.

Normally we do not allow picnic food in the Park but as you are utilising the party marquee we endeavour to accommodate.

Do I need to bring anything to go into the party bags?

The party bags are done personally and are stacked full with a mixture of gifts and sweets, they are always well received. Sweets are kept to a minimum but if you would prefer not to have any sweets in the party bag please advise the office when booking.

We do the party bags on age and gender therefore it is very helpful to us if you can phone the office and let us know a few days before the party the numbers of children attending and the breakdown of ages and genders.

What time is the tractor ride?

The tractor time will be set either before or after the normal rides, the time will be given to you on your arrival. It is important that you get to the tractor queue for that time as the tractor rides are very busy and the tractor driver can not wait for you.

Please ensure at least two adults accompany the children on the tractor ride.

If you party has less than fifteen children attending we reserve the right to include members of the public on the ride.

Does our party get to feed the animals?

You are more than welcome to visit aMaizin barnyard to see the animals however the feeding times are at certain times to ensure the welfare of the animals. If you are interested in feeding the animals please ask at time of booking when the feeding times are available and we will check availability.

What do I need to bring?

You only need to bring the cake, candles and matches/lighter. It is an idea to bring a change of clothes for the Water Warriors and a few pens if you would like to do the maze (if party is booked after the 1st of July)

How long does the party last?

All party slots are set for two hours long.

Can we have a longer party?

The party length is set at 2 hours as we find this is ideal for children as they are expending considerable energy.

If you wish to extend your stay you will need to collect your belongings and go to the party pick up point after the two hour slot is finished. This is to allow the party co-ordinator to ensure tractor rides are completed and party bags are given to the parents. You are welcome to bring the party guests back into the park. All children attending the party and the parents of the birthday child will not be charged for re-entry. There will be a charge for any other adult helpers returning to the Park as their glitter band is only valid for two hours.

The party marquee will not be available after your two hour slot due to the popularity of our parties. It is also important that you arrange a collection time and place as we don’t allow parents to go into the park to collect their children.

Why can’t parents come into aMaizin! Adventure Park to collect their children?

We have a designated drop off and pick up point outside the barnyard, This ensures that the party parent collects and drops back the children to a designated guardian. aMaizin! takes the safety of children very seriously and collecting parents are not always known to the birthday child’s parents. The collection and drop off at the party point helps to ensure that no child can leave the Park with someone other than their parent or guardian.

We also have an issue that we are only insured for paying visitors. Collecting parents are not insured to be in the Park and it is important that we follow procedures laid down by our insurers.

Do you supervise the parties?

Due to the nature of the attraction we can not supervise the parties; therefore we suggest a 1 to 5 ratio of adults to children. The main areas to observe are the go karts, giant balls and Water Warrior area.

We co-ordinate the tractor ride time, food and party bags, and are always around if you need anything or have any questions. Any member of staff can contact the party co-ordinator for you by radio.

Can we bring more adults than suggested?

We do try and be flexible with adult helpers however from experience we know that more helpers can sometimes mean less support. If parents have a designated area to help with, the party often runs a lot more smoothly.

The younger children aged 3 and 4 sometimes like to have a parent stay with them, we are happy to allow one parent to stay with each party child.

Extra adults and children will need to pay the normal entrance price at the front desk before entering the park.

Designated adult helpers are not charged for the duration of the party. However, if they wish to stay after the party they will need to go to the front desk and pay the normal entrance rate. Attending party children will need their band swapped but will not be charged. Parents of the birthday child will also not be charged re-entry but will need their bands changed also.

Can my helper bring in children that are not part of the party?

Any extra adults and children will need to pay the normal entrance price at the front desk before entering the park. If additional children are not part of the party they will need to go to the Main entrance area and will be charged the regular rate.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We will decide whether it is safe for the party to still go ahead based on the condition of the Park. Children don’t mind the odd shower, it adds to their excitement and often the decision will rest with the parents. If it is raining a lot and you would rather reschedule the party we are happy to do so. Parties are very popular but we will work with you to reschedule your party at a convenient time.

If it is showery are there undercover areas?

There are a number of undercover areas if showers are forecast. These include the barnyard, Dusty Mountain Gold Mine, Mole Hill, the Dino Dig and the party marquee where the children eat. We do make sure that the children are fully occupied.

Some of the children attending the party are seasonal members do I get a reduction?

The parties are all ready subsidised as there is a high return rate from children attending the parties which we factor into the initial cost so there is no reduction.

Can we have a weekday party?

We find weekday parties are often preferred by parents as the park is quieter than at weekends and supervision is easier.  If your child and invited guests cannot arrive to the Park before 4pm – 4.30pm please discuss this when booking. If your guests are 20 or more we are happy to keep the Park open an extra 15-30 minutes to allow you a later start time.

Where can I obtain some more invitations?

These can be collected from the front desk 7 days a week from 10am until 6pm. Please return any unused postcards at the time of your party.

Is there anything else I need to know?

Ensure that your guests bring clothing suitable for wet play. Your party will run more smoothly if the wet play areas are used at the start of your party or half an hour before the food is served (depending on the party time). This allows plenty of time to change clothing, and alleviates any last minute aggravation as your helpers can be allocating and retrieving wet clothing before the end of the party! Bags are then easily retrieved when departing the Park. We also have a small portaloo at the exit if required.

How can I book?

Telephone 482116 to book a party. If the line is busy please leave a message and we will get back to you. You can also email contact@jerseyleisure.com

We do not take provisional bookings and a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.
