Kids Activities in Jersey
There are many kids activities in Jersey and apart from the
attractions there are a great number of activities in Jersey that
your children can choose from!
The most obvious (and cheapest) kids
activity in Jersey are the beaches. They are free and very easy to
find! Jersey has an enviable reputation for the cleanliness and
quality of their beaches and within the island there is a
surprising selection!
St Ouen's beach is where you will find
the locals and the surfers. Miles of white sandy beach with plenty
of parking in nearby car parks this is a poular area. Beware of the
tides! St Ouen's has a strong rip tide and every year someone gets
caught.
Greve De Lecq is another beach where
you will find the locals hiding. Lots of rocky crevices for the
children to explore and lovely cafes dot the pier. Parking is more
difficult and access would be simpler by bus! Beware the seagulls
here - eat your icecream in the cafes and not on the beach!
St Brelade's Beach is always more
crowded but very popular with tourists. You will find St. Brelade's
Church nearby which is a lovely place to spend an hour. for those
looking for more activity St Brelade's Beach probably offers the
best selection. Banana boating, pedal boats and kayaking are some
of the activities on offer in this area.
There is a good site http://www.beachwizard.com/beach.asp?country=England&beachid=2250
which offers lots of information on surfing, tides and winds for
most of Jersey's beaches. Basically a surfing site it has some
comprehensive information on many of our bays.
